"Lebanon faces shortcomings in face of regional challenges"

The Research and Strategic Studies Center in the Lebanese army has organized a seminar in collaboration with the civic Influence Hub to discuss National Security in Lebanon and other various problems.Political figures articulated one of Lebanon's main problem: that everything in the country is politicized:

The speakers stressed that there are limitations in the system in Lebanon, whether in the political, economic or social institutions which have inserted their impact on the capabilities of the military and security institutions:Military figures stressed that the country also needs to work towards more modern policies to deal with developments:

The final statement stressed that there should be more meetings and round table discussions throughout the year which can bring about new thoughts as the events unfold in Lebanon and the region.

In light of the geopolitical changes in the region, Lebanon's military institution finds itself having shortcomings that reduce its power in the face of the challenges at large and the fight against terror in particular. Experts believe revision in Lebanon's military master plans is a must in order to better protect the national security.
